  4. d. Romans 1:24, 26–27; Leviticus 20:15–16

    Romans 1:24; Romans 1:26–27

1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

1:24 Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity for the dishonoring of their bodies with one another. 1:26 For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 1:27 Likewise, the men abandoned natural relations with women and burned with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

    Leviticus 20:15–16

20:15 And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast. 20:16 And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

20:15 If a man lies carnally with an animal, he must be put to death. And you are also to kill the animal. 20:16 If a woman approaches any animal to mate with it, you must kill both the woman and the animal. They must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

    Matthew 15:19

5:3 But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed. 5:4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving.

    Proverbs 7:5; Proverbs 7:21–22

    7:5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. 7:21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. 7:22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

7:5 that they may keep you from the adulteress, from the stranger with seductive words. 7:21 With her great persuasion she entices him; with her flattering lips she lures him. 7:22 He follows her on impulse, like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer bounding into a trap,

    Leviticus 18:1–21

18:1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 18:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God. 18:3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. 18:4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God. 18:5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord. 18:6 None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord. 18:7 The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. 18:8 The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness. 18:9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover. 18:10 The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness. 18:11 The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. 18:12 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman. 18:13 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman. 18:14 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt. 18:15 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. 18:16 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness. 18:17 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness. 18:18 Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time. 18:19 Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness. 18:20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her. 18:21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.

18:1 Then the LORD said to Moses, 18:2 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: I am the LORD your God. 18:3 You must not follow the practices of the land of Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not follow the practices of the land of Canaan, into which I am bringing you. You must not walk in their customs. 18:4 You are to practice My judgments and keep My statutes by walking in them. I am the LORD your God. 18:5 Keep My statutes and My judgments, for the man who does these things will live by them. I am the LORD. 18:6 None of you are to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the LORD. 18:7 You must not expose the nakedness of your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; you must not have sexual relations with her. 18:8 You must not have sexual relations with your father's wife; it would dishonor your father. 18:9 You must not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere. 18:10 You must not have sexual relations with your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter, for that would shame your family. 18:11 You must not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father's wife, born to your father; she is your sister. 18:12 You must not have sexual relations with your father's sister; she is your father's close relative. 18:13 You must not have sexual relations with your mother's sister, for she is your mother's close relative. 18:14 You must not dishonor your father's brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations with her; she is your aunt. 18:15 You must not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son's wife; you are not to have sexual relations with her. 18:16 You must not have sexual relations with your brother's wife; that would shame your brother. 18:17 You must not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. You are not to marry her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter and have sexual relations with her. They are close relatives; it is depraved. 18:18 You must not take your wife's sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is still alive. 18:19 You must not approach a woman to have sexual relations with her during her menstrual period. 18:20 You must not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife and thus defile yourself with her. 18:21 You must not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molech, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.

    Malachi 2:11–12

2:11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the Lord which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god. 2:12 The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the Lord of hosts.

2:11 Judah has broken faith; an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem. For Judah has profaned the LORD's beloved sanctuary by marrying the daughter of a foreign god. 2:12 As for the man who does this, may the LORD cut off from the tents of Jacob everyone who is awake and aware-even if he brings an offering to the LORD of Hosts.

Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. 2:15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

2:14 Yet you ask, "Why?" It is because the LORD has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have broken faith, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant. 2:15 Has not the LORD made them one, having a portion of the Spirit? Jeremiah 4:30

4:30 And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.

4:30 And you, O devastated one, what will you do, though you dress yourself in scarlet, though you adorn yourself with gold jewelry, though you enlarge your eyes with paint? You adorn yourself in vain; your lovers despise you; they want to take your life.
