5:28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 5:29 Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.

5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. 5:10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

5:7 Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the soil-how patient he is for the fall and spring rains. 5:8 You, too, be patient and strengthen your hearts, because the Lord's coming is near. 5:9 Do not complain about one another, brothers, so that you will not be judged. Look, the Judge is standing at the door! 5:10 Brothers, as an example of patience in affliction, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 5:11 See how blessed we consider those who have persevered.
